How to Play
Objective
The goal is to get a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without going over 21. Number cards are worth their face value, face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10, and Aces can be 1 or 11.
Player Actions
- Hit: Take another card.
- Stand: Take no more cards and end your turn.
- Double Down: Available only on your first two cards. You double your bet, receive exactly one more card, and then must stand.
- Split: Available if your first two cards are of the same rank (e.g., two 7s). You split them into two separate hands, placing an equal bet on the second hand, and play each one independently.
Custom Rules
- Dealer Hits on Soft 17: If enabled, the dealer must hit when their hand is a "soft" 17 (an Ace and a 6). This slightly increases the house edge.
- 5-Card Charlie: If you draw 5 cards in a single hand without busting, you automatically win.
Game Controls
- Deal Hand: Starts the next round with the current score intact.
- New Game: Resets everything, including the win/loss record and bankroll, and starts fresh.
- Add $100: Adds $100 to your bankroll if you run out of money.
